How to Archive a Module Custom Field

Archiving a custom field should only be done when the field is no longer needed and should not be available in the system anymore. It is possible to restore archived custom fields and their values if needed.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Navigate to Module Settings

  1. Navigate to Module settings for the specific module where the custom field is located.

Step 2: Open the Custom Fields Section

  1. Click "Customfields".

Step 3: Select the Custom Field to Archive

  1. In this example, we will archive the "Status" field.

Step 4: Archive the Custom Field

  1. Click "archive".

Step 5: Confirm the Archiving

  1. Confirm the archiving.

Step 6: Verify the Field is Archived

  1. The "Status" custom field is now archived.

Step 7: View Archived Custom Fields

  1. Click the "INACTIVE" tab to see the archived custom fields.

Step 8: Verify the Field is Listed as Archived

  1. The "Status" custom field is now listed here as it is archived.

Tips

  • Only archive a custom field when it is no longer needed, as it will not be available in the system anymore.
  • Remember that archived custom fields can be restored along with their values if needed.

Common Issues

  • Custom Field Not Archived: Ensure you have the necessary permissions to archive the custom field.
  • Unable to Find Archived Fields: Check the "INACTIVE" tab to see all archived custom fields.
